Tanishq unveils Jewellery of Jodhaa Akbar
Tanishq (India), revealed the exotic jewelry worn by Aishwarya in Jodhaa Akbar. Tanishq has recreated the imperial dressing styles during the Mughal era. Around 400 kg of gold, emerald, pearls, ruby, tourmaline, and jade stones have been used. It took 200 craftsmen around 2 year to complete the entire collection.
The wedding set, which Aishwarya wore in the film, weighed around three-and-a-half kg.
13 sets were made for Ash andand 8 for Hrithik respectively. The designs used in Jodhaa Akbar are 'kundan' and 'meenakari'. Interestingly, three generations of craftsmen have worked on making the magnificent jewelry of Jodhaa Akbar.
